Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Ben Norton spent nine years in Ohio before moving to Sedona, AZ in September 2015. Ben received his BFA from the University of Dayton in 2009 with a concentration in Painting and a minor in Religious Studies. He spent the next four years painting and managing a gallery in the commercial art world before re-entering academia at the University of Cincinnati, where he received his MFA in May of 2015.

Currently, his work embodies an investigation into the network of agency shared by humans and objects and the multiplicity of narratives that arise as a result. His work also explores the parameters of painting in the realm of the art-object and the implications of physical forms of memory within constructed space. Humor and absurdity pair with naturalism to render reality.
